Product Description
This braided backplane power and data connector cable harness is designed for compact server and industrial computer
platforms where a proprietary board connector must be adapted to standard Slimline SATA and 15-pin SATA power
interfaces. High-quality copper wire, precision-crimped terminals and robust over-molding deliver stable electrical performance and
low insertion loss for both power and high-speed signal
transmission.
The round cable construction with PET braided sleeving resists
abrasion and bending fatigue, while helping organize wiring inside
dense 1U/2U chassis. Color-coded power lines and clearly keyed
connectors reduce installation errors and make field maintenance
easier. With full OEM/ODM customization capability, this harness can be tuned for different PCB pitch,
connector types and cable lengths used in automotive data
recorders, embedded computers and storage expansion modules.

Applications
Connecting a server or NAS backplane PCB connector to Slimline SATA SSDs and 2.5" SATA drives
Power and signal harness for industrial PCs, DVR/NVR recorders and
electronic test equipment using mixed backplane interfaces
Custom storage cages or RAID modules where proprietary high-density
board headers must fan out to standard SATA power and Slimline SATA
connectors
Embedded and automotive systems that require reliable,
vibration-resistant power and data wiring within limited PCB and
chassis space
Precautions
Confirm the pin assignment of the backplane connector and drive interface before production; mis-matching 12 V / 5 V /
3.3 V rails or signal pins can damage electronic devices.
Do not exceed the rated current or ambient temperature; for
higher-power designs consider thicker wire gauge or additional
power pins.
Avoid sharp bends or repeated twisting near the over-molded
sections to maintain insulation integrity and long-term
reliability.
When routing inside metal chassis or automotive enclosures, secure
the harness with clips or ties to prevent abrasion and to keep
signal cables away from strong EMI sources such as power converters or motors.
