The SAS 29P Right-Angle Solder Female Cable Connector with Positioning
Peg is a high-reliability electronic signal and power connector designed for SAS-based server, storage and industrial systems.
With a true 29-pin female layout and 1.27mm pitch, this connector is ideal for compact, high-density PCB-to-wire cable interconnections where the cable needs to exit at a 90-degree angle.
Terminals are made from phosphor bronze C5191-H (t = 0.25mm) and finished with a robust multi-layer plating system:
50U" minimum nickel over the entire terminal for corrosion resistance;
15U" minimum gold on the contact area providing low contact resistance and stable high-speed electronic
signal performance;
80U" minimum tin on the solder area to ensure strong, reliable solder joints to copper wires.
The connector housing uses glass-filled LCP, black, UL94-V0, ROHS 2.0, giving excellent mechanical strength, heat resistance and
dimensional stability.
Electrically, the connector is rated at 1.5A @ 40VAC, with contact resistance ≤30mΩ, insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ, and withstand voltage 500VAC/minute. Mechanical specifications include mating force up to 25N (backplane) / 50N (cable), unmating force at least 5N / 20N, single-pin retention ≥0.8kgf, and up to 500 cycles (backplane) / 25 cycles (cable) at 200 cycles/hour.
The right-angle solder tails, thickened back cover and positioning peg together provide strong cable support, accurate positioning and
improved vibration resistance, making this connector an excellent
choice for customized wire cable, electrical signal and power transmission solutions.

⚠️ Notes
- Choose appropriate wire gauge and insulation according to the 1.5A @ 40VAC rating and your power / signal
requirements.
- Follow recommended soldering profiles for the tin-plated tails to achieve full wetting and strong
mechanical pull-out strength, while avoiding overheating of the LCP
housing.
- Keep gold-plated contact areas clean; avoid touching terminals with bare hands to prevent
contamination and oxidation that could increase contact resistance.
- When assembling, make full use of the positioning peg and the thick back cover to align the connector correctly and provide strain relief for the
cable.
- Do not exceed the specified mating/unmating forces and durability cycles to maintain terminal elasticity and connector lifetime.
- Store connectors in dry, anti-static packaging, and handle them in ESD-protected areas when integrating into
sensitive PCB and electronic systems.
- Operate the connector only within the specified temperature range (–20°C to +85°C) and electrical ratings for long-term reliability.
